2005 Raising a Ruckus Activist Award
Working Mother magazine selected Linda Ginzel for their "Raising A Ruckus"
activist Award.
2004 Semifinalist Volvo for Life Award
Volvo Cars of North America selected Linda Ginzel and Boaz Keysar
as one of the top 100 semifinalists in the Volvo for Life Awards.
They were nominated for the care, conscience and character they
have shown toward their community, and for their willingness to go
above and beyond the call of duty to help others in need. Update
2003 Parenting Leaders
Linda Ginzel and Boaz Keysar were honored as Parenting Leaders in the March 2003 issue of
Parenting Magazine for their work in founding KID.
2000 President's Service Award
Former President Bill Clinton awarded Linda Ginzel
and Boaz Keysar with the nation's highest honor for volunteer service. This
award is the most prestigious national recognition given for volunteer service
directed at solving the country's critical social problems. The White House
saluted their important work on behalf of Kids In Danger in the area of national
public safety.
1999 Civil Justice Foundation Community Champion Award
The Civil Justice Foundation honored Linda Ginzel
and Boaz Keysar as exceptional consumer activists. As cofounders of Kids In Danger,
they received the Community Champion Award for demonstrating a compassion and commitment to
advocacy in performing outstanding work on behalf of injured consumers.
1998 Chicagoans of the Year
Selected from a list of nominees suggested by readers
and community leaders, Chicago Magazine named Linda Ginzel and Boaz
Keysar "Chicagoans of the Year", along with Chicago Cubs baseball player Sammy
Sosa and blues singer Koko Taylor. They were honored both for their civic
contributions and for their inspiring demonstration of
making an impact through their work with Kids In Danger.
1998 Allstate Safety Leadership Award
The Allstate Insurance Company's highest public
honor was awarded to Kids In Danger as an exemplary model of safety leadership in the
Illinois region.
