Teach Early Safety Testing
This KID program is designed to promote the development of safe
products by integrating children’s product safety, standards,
and testing practices into the engineering
curriculum.
KID’s TEST provides important background materials and
educational opportunities on safety for
tomorrow’s designers and engineers of children’s
products. TEST gives student engineers and designers the tools they need to integrate safety
into any product they design and apply appropriate testing practices and standards to the products.
TEST will help manufacturers and testing laboratories find
qualified students already familiar with standards and testing.
TEST is funded in part through a grant from Underwriters Laboratories
Inc. (UL). UL also provides technical support in the development of
the program.
