Today is the day we celebrate the ones that help raise us, care for us, and give us an extra hand when we need it.
Fun fact – the flower for Grandparents Day is the ‘Forget-Me-Not.’ So this Grandparents Day we are sharing some important safety tips to not forget when taking care of young children.
Here are a few things to not forget this Grandparent’s Day:
- Remember to register your grandchild’s product. It is the only way manufacturers will contact you directly in the event of a recall. A list of online registration pages can be found here.
- Check out the US. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to see if any of your grandkid’s products have been recalled. Check for recalls on the go by visiting KidsInDanger.org from your smartphone or mobile device.
- The crib you used for your children is not safe for your grandchildren. Make sure your grandbabies sleep in a crib that meets the strongest safety standard and is free from pillows, blankets, toys, and bumper pads.
Get more information on how to keep your grandchildren safe by visiting KidsInDanger.org. Sign up for the KID email alert and we’ll send you alerts about unsafe products and keep you up to date with a monthly recall list.
Thanks again grandparents for all that you do. Make KID your safety resource.
