This Tuesday, May 5, KID is joining nonprofits around the world for #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity. You might be familiar with #GivingTuesday following Thanksgiving — #GivingTuesdayNow is an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
The pandemic has interrupted both KID’s work and our ability to support it. We have postponed our annual Best Friend Award Night planned for Thursday May 7. We count on this amazing event both to honor those who join us in fighting for product safety but also to provide the funding needed for our efforts the rest of the year. Your support now is vital for KID to continue to protect children by fighting for product safety.
We know need is great in so many areas now. KID’s work must continue to keep kids safe – both in this pandemic and after. Please consider making a donation to support KID. Through a generous grant, the Reva and David Logan Foundation will match all new and increased gifts, as well as gifts from past donors who haven’t given in the past two years, so the impact of your gift can be doubled.
KID has adapted to these changing times by moving our workshop on creating safe environments for children online. The first one last week reached over 100 childcare providers, parents, and injury prevention professionals. We have more on the schedule and are also creating materials addressing product safety hazards in the pandemic. Your donation today allows KID to continue serving as a voice for parents and to make an even greater impact on children’s health and safety.
